New Mp3 Player

Ok i had one of those IItronics efforts from argos for two years and only used it to walk to work(ten minutes max) and still barely got a week outta the batteries(philips 700)
Started a course and started to use this again, decided to go for duracell 1000 as they are for mp3 players, but still getting the same life outta them.

Long story but can any recommend a cheap bare bones mp3 player with the ole usb charge feature(my bro has one and seems to last what you`d expect) just for playing normal mp3s, I have my own headphones so that's not an issue.

Have seen this one in Harvey Norman

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-GoGear-SA1MXX02KN-02-Player/dp/B002FGT418

I prefer the slim/pen drive type to throw in the pocket rather than the box shaped ones.

    Thanks for any help

sandisk sansa clip (replaced by the clip+ but that's not available over here yet) will suit you quite well...or the sansa express it you really want a pendrive type one.

It's a good solid brand and their prices are nice and competitive.

you'll find them in currys, dixons, pcworld, argos, xtravision, i've even seen them in dunnes. dunno how much the philips is but wouldn't imagine one of these being much more

I googled last night and seen they are great, amazon have glowing reviews all round.

I have seen them in xtravison(only the 8gb one, to big for me) and argos have the 2gb one. Its €15 more than the philips but ill go into the mentioned shops and have a look, the net isnt an option as most are €10 upwards for pap.

    Thanks again for the help.

Had to go with the philips one as currys, did, argos, harvey norman and dunnes stores didnt have them or didnt have the 2gb model.

Interesting note, 8Gb model in currys beside jjb, pc world etc €80, the same model in currys beside dunnes €70. This is in the blanch centre, even checked with the fella in the currys beside dunnes and was it the right price alright.
