    ok probably a stupid question,

is there a certain way a spring has to go in to a gear box????

i have a ms90 to go in to a gun and one end of it seems closed in more then the other if you know what i mean....

any way just looking for a yes or no and which end to put in to the back of the piston if the answer if yes.

    thanks

I don't think so, I usually put the tighter coiled end on the spring guide and the looser end in the piston.

Yup, lefty is bang on., most springs have a tapered end on them and the tighter end goes on the spring guide because when its compressed the coils expand.
