    Hi. I'm very confused so any help would be great.
    My mother wants a lamp, minimum of 100w bulb
    The lamps she's looking at are all around 60w G4 Halogen bulbs.
    How do halogen bulbs compare to normal bulbs and want wattage would be equivelant to aroung 100w?
    Please help me out before i have to go looking for them tomorrow!!!
    Thanks =)

    halogen lamps have a good quality light with a great punch, however they are very expensive to run they also turn on very quickly and get very hot.

    As you know 60W means it uses 60W of power, this is not an indicator or how "bright" the lamp will be. Something like an 18W CFL would produce as much light as the old style 100W lamp and save you money
