    There was a quote by a prominent unionist in the 1920's, probably Edward Carson but possibly James Craig. This said something like although the unionists want partition they want to continue to take part in the arts and crafts of Ireland generally (probably the horse show).

    Can anyone recall the exact quote and a source, please.

    Can't tell you the quote, but Carson was a keen hurler in his day so what he meant by arts and crafts may have been surprisingly broad in scope
