My sister bought a game in the states and downloaded a program that would enable it to work here, when she loaded it, it asked her if she would like to upgrade, she said yes and now the will will not work!! Any ideas how I can fix the wii

Was it the freeloader that you used?

If so, read this: Nintendo block freeloader.

The only way is to software hack the wii and downgrade the firmware or install a 'safe' version of the firmware. I can be complicated but it's doable.
