Does anyone know who won this.

I saw one match Colstons V Michaels. Colstons looked unstoppable.

Methody, Belfast won the final, beating Clongowes 3-0. Wasn't a great final, but Methody's win over Blackrock in the semi was a cracker. Clongowes beat Wellington College from the UK in the other semi.

I thought Munchins got to the semi-Final? My friend said that it was an English team that won.

colstons might have looked good but in this years fixture they lost to sedbergh and sedbergh won quite easily. sedbergh were unlucky in this tournament they deserved to win but were hit with injuries and swine flu they would have won

Well your friend got it wrong, unless he counts Methodist College, Belfast as an English team.

The four semi finalists were Methody, Blackrock, Clongowes and Wellington College.

Presentation College Cork won the plate final, beating Ivybridge from England.

Really good event. I wandered down on Sunday afternoon. The standard of rugby was very high, some ridiculously good players.

So Sedburgh were hit with injuries... I was wondering why they didn't do better - aren't they one of the top rugby schools in Britain???

There were no semi finals like people keep talking about. The best 8 teams from the 20 went into 2 groups of 4 on the sunday, playing a league again with the top team from each side playing in the final. Group 1 was Clongowes, Wellington, Colstons and i think Nure, in the other it was Michaels, Rock, Sedberg and Methody. Both groups were incredibly tight, scorelines like 0 0, 3 3, 3 0, 5 3 were very regular. Obviously Methody and CWC came out on top. Watched a number of games on the Saturday, great quality, some class players, particularly some of the Leinster Schools, gonna be a competitive cup this year, CWC, Nure, Rock and Michaels looked good to be fair

Considering they've won all their pre season games I doubt that.

Really? thats surprising.. in fairness though, losing 17-3 to clongowes in a 20 minute game is fairly sh*te :)

Just as well the senior cup games are 70 mins long so, or 90 mins if rock are losing.
