    Hi,

Just wondering what is the story with 4 shot semi-automatics and the new licence regulations ? are they restricted or would it have to be plugged so that it is only a 3 shot ?

i currently have a double barrel, an have been given the semi-auto, and need to get it transferred into my name, and re-licence it as well.

will it be harder to have it passed as a 4 shot versus 3 shot ?
would i be better off to try and get it licenced as a 4 shot first, and if that fails, then try for a 3 shot licence ?

as far as i know, the gun has always been a 4 shot.
    it a beretta semi-automatic.

    cheers

My Baikal MP-153 was a five shot. I stuck in a plug myself to limit it to a three shot. Ticked the ordinary license box on the form, but have not heard back yet. I think in the Comissioners guidelines they said you'd need a particularly good reason for a restricted firearm, the bar was going to be set high so to speak. So just because you're getting given one I doubt that'd count for much.
