Basically partner and I are trying to conceive and started tracking my cycle in the process. We have done the deed so to speak when we were supposed to but now i'm sacred that I might actually be pregnant. Why am I feeling so afraid of something i'm supposed to want. If this month isn't successful I don't think i'm ready for this. Any advice?

Do YOU want to have a Baby, or does your partner want to have one????

I might be wrong, but is this not the kind of thing that should be what ye both want?

The whole process of ttc and getting pregnant is scary, even if the baby is very much planned and wanted. If you do get the wonderful positive test it will be a shock but also wonderful. Best wishes to you! It is totally normal to feel scared - it is an important part of your life, but when you see your baby kick inside you on the ultrasound it is truely wonderful.

Well I'll find out once I do a test if I'm pregnant or not but I feel so low about it. I really really thought I wanted this but now I feel just like it's the worst decision ever! I spoke to him last night and asked that if I'm not pregnant now that we just put it on the back burner for a while to give me a chance to get my act together. Luckily he was really supportive and said that he was more than a little afraid too. Thanks Cathy by the way and I know if I do get a positive I'll embrace it and just get on with it.

We got pregnant 2 within 2 days of starting to try and like you I got really nervous thinking what have I started, I am not ready but when we got the positive pregnancy test we were over the moon. Unfotunatly that pregnancy did not last and we subsequently found that we have fertility issues but I am 15 weeks pregnant at this stage (natural conception). Start again whenever you feel ready if you do not feel ready this month.
