Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I grabbed a few of the DLC packs for Fallout 3 recently and can't seem to activate them. I downloaded and installed and started with a new character and am up to level 7 now but still no radio signal for Operation Anchorage or The Pitt...

Is there a step I'm missing somewhere or just another feck up?

    Cheers.

i don't think any of this is needed but try anyway you're meant to get the signal a few minutes into a game after installing

    Pitt
There is a subway on the far north of the map that takes you to The Pitt, you get a radio message if your nearby after you download it.

    Operation Anchorage
there's noting to do for this not sure why it's not workking for you look for Aiding the Outcasts in quest objective

Thanks, will give it a go.

Right - DLC deleted, Fallout 3 updated (doh!), DLC redownloaded and Operation Anchorage reinstalled...

Now I have a new item in my main menu called 'downloads' but nothing appears when I go into it. For those who have a PS3 and DLC - do your downloaded packs appear here? An no joy with new missions in game either...

Hay I have the GOTY edition with all the DLC, all of them appear under the 'downloads' option.

Do you happen to have a US copy of Fallout 3 by any chance ? because DLC is region locked.

Ah for buggerings sake - I do have a US copy!
Inherited a load of games from a previous owner and Fallout is rated M for Mature.

That's fecking dopey. Thanks a lot for the heads up tho - why do they have the DLC regioned when the games arent?!

I'm a wee bit screwed methinks...

hey dude, umm i dont think operation anchorage works untill you actually beat the game cos its an add on of the main story

Yeah it sucks, I dunno why they have it locked to be honest, it's a bit of a pain.

If I was you, id bring that copy into a shop and trade it in for a EU copy or maybe buy/swap it on adverts.

*caspa307 your thinking of "Broken Steel"

Can anyone tell me if you were to pick one, which of the DLC 's would you recommend for Fallout 3?

Well, getting the GOTY pack is better value if you want to play them all. But since wednesday iv played through operation anchorage and point lookout and im half way through broken steel atm.

So far point lookout is the most enjoyable because of the quests and overall setting of the place.
Operation anchorage is complete crap, the framerate chuggs to a stand still and the quests are really boring and the AI does all the grunt work. Broken steel seems good so far....

    Hope that helps,

Just to complete my DLC comments, iv played through them all and got to level 30 etc...

Point lookout is still the best ( of a bad bunch ), Broken steel was enjoyable enough and the pit and mothership zeta were not too bad.

But in general I thought all of the DLC was very weak and lacked polish compared to F3 and the slowdown was the worst I have ever seen im my life through all the DLC, also the constast crashes ( twice as bad as F3 ) made the experience annoying and left me even more disappointed... If I was Bethesda I would be utterly embarrassed.
