    hey:), just noticed on the o2.ie that their going to offer prepay mobile broadband soon, does anyone know when the launch date for prepay is, cheers.

    i talked to somone in a o2 shop and they said 16th of november is when its be launced, which is today but no sign of it on the o2 website, also my sister works in o2 and she said a person will be able to purchase a day pass for 500mb, no one seems to know anthing abou price tho, o2 are been very quit about details. for some reason.

    thats not prepay - prepay doesn't expire - load of crap

    Pre-pay mobile midband does however. Meteor and Three both offer pre-pay services, which expire after either 1 day, 1 week or 1 month, depending on what you buy.

    It's not the same as pre-pay mobile phone usage. They define it as buying a certain amount of time, and pre-paying for it, not that you buy usage (like 5GB) and can use it till that's used up.

    It would be very handy if you could by it by usage, especially for those who don't do much. They know this though, and can make more money this way.

    this is what I thought this would be, meteor already have this but with cheaper rates so why would i pick o2?

    O2 has far far wider 3G /HSDPA coverage than Meteor. Especially if you're travelling around the countryside a fair bit, as I am. The Meteor modem is impractical (for most people) at Edge speeds.
