Looking to purchase a new laptop here. Seems to have everything I want, good specifications at a great price.

Went to check it out on the Samsung website but doesn't seem to be on it. It's probably a new release since it has windows 7 installed already. Any advice on this, is it a good deal?

I'm looking for something within the €400 to €600 price range but with pretty good specifications so it can run well on windows 7. Also its important that it won't be outdated anytime too soon as I'm looking to hold on to it for a good while and will be using it for college, dvds, music etc I'm into gaming so performance doesn't have to be over the top but still important that it runs well and will do so into the future.

Also any advice on anti-virus software? I've heard there a few free programs online that will do the job but how reliable/safe are these? Generally I just keep the usual McAfee program on my computer even after the subscription runs out.

McAfee is so bad you'd be better of having a jar of vaseline ready for your HDD.... because it's a nasty internet out there... even worse it gets if it's not updated.

Try Avast! or AVG.... they're free and they're actually better than McAfee outright. I used to have McAfee on a computer.... it never detected a single thing. Subscription ran out, I installed Avast!... it found so much stuff it couldn't get rid of, I had to reinstall.

Most computers you buy today will come with Windows 7 preinstalled... and just about anything made within the last 3-4 years can run it. It's not like Fista.

Also consider http://www.xubuntu.org if you don't want to have to worry about antiviruses.
