Battleforge - Any good multiplayer?

    I have been thinking of downloading Battleforge. It's completely free from the official Battleforge site.

    The only thing putting me off is having to purchase battle cards.

    I keep thinking what will be the point of playing if I don't purchase cards (which I mostly likely won't purchase) ?

    Because surely it'll come down to the person that has spent the more money on better cards winning?

    Is that the case?

    Or is it still competitive even if you don't purchase any additional cards?

    Ok, I just went ahead and downloaded it. It's free afterall.

    I'm liking it so far. Just played single player though.

    Waiting to unlock multiplayer (they have it set like that in the free version, but it's all there once you get to level 4).
