Was anyone at the Andrew Maxwell gig last night in Vicar street? I was and he was absolutely terrible. I ended up leaving about 20 minutes from the end and I never leave before the end of anything. His jokes were seriously lame and he had this air of entitlement about him - like if he laughed at nothing (which he did a lot), he expected the audience to laugh along with him. He had a leather couch on stage and he called a guy up to join him and it backfired totally when the guy announced he was bisexual - totally threw Maxwell off. I think to be a good comedian, you still have to work hard. He had plenty of material with all that is in the news lately and he just seemed to wallow in his own self importance. Very disappointed and I would have been a fan of his. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Saw him last night in portlaoise at the Halloween comedy gig there.

Came out on stage pretty pissed, has very little material and for the most part very poor.

Spent more time saying " c*nt" then making any sort of jokes and was pretty much not funny.
