A buddy crashed their 05 golf tdi van. Is one of the 135bhp ones. It rolled a few times so body is pretty much a no go (few panels that can be salvaged) but engine etc is all grand. How much would this be worth approx to sell?

From the title, I was expecting a car/pier scenario, not 'rolled a few times'!

    Free bump for you anyway.

Worth very little really, scrap yard will take her and remove engine and running gear.

Doubt he would get more than 3 hundred for it, if he even gets that much.

Always adds in buy and sell and auto trader by scrap yards looking for crashed cars, might be worth ringing a few.
