This reminds me of the pre-recession days when we'd just book another flight to the USA and buy a better fit.... Ah, God be with those days :o

Get the missus to do it

[Serious answer]Get it professionally altered.. a lot of laundrettes will do it fairly cheap.

    What Brummytom said.

I got an Ireland rugby jersey online afew years ago. I didnt expect the XL size to be that big. Its was like a spud sack on me. Brought it to a "dress-maker" in town who nipped n tucked it. Came back just like I had bought a smaller version of the shirt.

As an American, I have to ask 'who still fits in an XL?'

McDonald's has a Eurosaver meal for a reason.

Try to wash it in 90 degrees, then put it in the tumble dryer ("ready to wear option") or on the hot radiator :)

I'm presuming it's a cotton mix fabric, if so it'll shrink evenly. A DIY job of sticking it into a hot (90 deg) wash will prob to the job. If it's all man made fabric, it won't shrink evenly and getting it altered is your best bet (of course, this is prob you best bet for a perfect, and predictable, size anyway!)
