    Folks,

Played Royal Tara last week in Open single competition and checked results today. CSS for members was 36 pts and 34pts for visitors. Is this a new thing or has anyone seen other clubs do it.

It's done if you have over 20 players in each of home and visitors as far as I know...

    Home advantage neutraliser.

Hardly a Home advantage neutraliser since we all play same course and prizes are given out on points total.

It gives a fairer assessment for handicap reduction or increase purposes of how visitors played the course when it is taken as a seperate entity to the home players CSS.

It has no bearing on the awarding of prizes or the points required to win those prizes
