    Hi
I have recently registered my own domain, with hosting, and am self-teaching myself web development using Joomla. I have recently found a website called Yootheme.com , that has some brilliant downloadable templates, plugins etc.

I am prepared to invest some money for some of these downloads, but am confused on how the Yootheme system works - their website is very confusing - they seem to offer 3 levels of download (bronze, silver, gold).

Can anyone help, assist or point me in the right direction here, please?

Although Joomla is an, open source download, it appears to me that any decent templates, modules, plugins etc are chargeable - Yootheme gives the impression that a single payment will give you free gratis for a period of time, but is not clear..

    Help me please.

    Ciry

    Hey,

YOOtheme is a funky site with loads good info but it has a system where you have to sign up to get full access to gear.

I thought myself Joomla simply by hosting a WAMP server on my laptop, install Joomla there and working away through errors and made progress that way. I personally wouldn't buy into YOUtheme at all. Keep your cash, there are plenty of other resources online. try googling key terms like Joomla help, Joomla for dummies etc.

In the meantime, upload a "coming soon" splash screen to your site as nothing looks more amateurish than a site sitting there empty.

If you need anything else, PM me or leave a message here :)
