    Good luck finding one.

think this notion that the roads will be blocked is false. maybe in Dublin it'll be true but take a look at google earth. Ireland has thousands of little roads all over the place it will be possible to find a way.

Do you know how to fly a helicopter? I plan on walking everywhere come Z day but hopefully I will not be stuck on this Island either.

I'll be cycling. Get yourself a good mountain bike, and your increadibly mobile. Throw in a few puncture repair kits, and your laughing. Granted you cant carry a huge amount, but you dont want to be lugging around suitcases when you've got 100's of Z's on your tail.

The only problem the travelling poses IMO is, unless I absolutely have to go somewhere, I will not be going anywhere.

In the perfect scenario, I will find out about Z day at home on a weekend hopefully and I can prepare then, as I believe, the first 24hours of an outbreak will be the most important.

I will stock up and try organise my plan of action for the next few weeks. I also live within a mile of a big Tesco and retail park, so as soon as Z day news breaks its off there to get rations 1st and any supplies from the local B&Q and the retial park, chains, wood, anything I need to baricade and defend my home, if all goes well I should have everything ready in 24hours.

I have a mountian bike anyway, so if the car is impossible to use to get around then mountain bike FTW.

Treated wood won't rot, chainsaws don't rot, petrol doesn't rot, tinned food doesn't rot, dried food doesn't rot.

    Get
    it

    Treated wood won't rot,
AS long as it's kept under the right conditions and never used.
    chainsaws don't rot,
Indeed they do, quite rapidly. Any complex machine will seize into a solid block if left up unused and all require constant maintenance, especially todays machines that have built in redundancy's to ensure the customer will need a new one in 3 - 5 years. This will be a major issue after the collapse of human civilization. We won't be able to build the complex machines we once had and despite their abundance we can expect them to be next to useless within 10 years or so. Only industrial machinery and electronics are built to last and withstand abuse, their also much easier to service in most cases. General consumer products just won't be reliable.
    petrol doesn't rot,
Evaporates unless stored correctly, and even then it will evaporate plus become more and more dangerous as it does. Diesel would be a much more preferable fuel. It won't evaporate as quick, it's not as volatile and it has more uses like in generators and commercial vehicles. When you have the choice always go diesel and hope the rest try to live out their boyhood fantasies by picking the turbo charged BMW.

    tinned food doesn't rot,
This I wonder about, why does tinned food have sell by dates? All the tinned food I have in my press (Yes, I'm stocking up on tinned food) has expiration dates of 2010 - 2013, I'm looking it up.
    dried food doesn't rot.
AS long as it's kept completely dry.

the thing you dont seem to realise valmont is that you are actually already dead. scumlord is so good at what he does ( killing) that your brain hasn't even registered the fact that you no longer have any limbs, so you continue your existance in the dream world :P
