You might do better to invest in known products such as snake oil. However these devices can also be programmed to ensure that all the electrons are moving forwards and so increase the fuel efficiency of your vehicle.

As for the 'how it works' explanations: Total rubbish written to confound the innocent.
Send me the money and I will pray for your vehicle, probably with better results.

There are commercial systems for ships that do this, google for sacraficial plate. However from the research I did a while back this will do nothing for your car, it will take me a while to dig up the article.

Yep, more snake oil like magic magnets and tin pellets.

Don't malign all "Mega" products though, look up Megajolt and Megasquirt! :D

and those plates only work on a iron hull immerssed in salt water, something to do with the electric charge generated by the hull passing through the water.

Sacraficial protection is well documented and on a car body where two disimilar metals are in contact you will get rust when the surfaces are wet.

However cars generally tend to be painted :) therefore two disimilar metals generally shouldn't contact eachother. With old cars though where clips and seals are disturbed or breakdown, or chrome trim is held on by steel clips you can encounter problems.

In theory it works, but in practice I doubt very much that you would notice any difference and either way how is anyone going to make a case one way or the other ??

I dunno.... planned obsolescence might be one reason? There is a difference between being sceptical and being cynical, imo.

The chemistry of this would only work if the cars were totally submerged all of the time. Thats why ships upperworks are still smothered in protective paints.
