Hi, I am just trying to gauge how many pre school services have or are going to sign up to this new ECCE scheme for 2010? I am a pre-school service, fully qualified, registered etc etc but am going to lose out a lot on the basis of this new gov't fee that is proposed.....I already charge very reasonable rates but want to see what other peoples opinion is...especially if youre in the business.........seems there is no real thought or process or clear understanding behind this scheme...its not even rubber stamped yet and I myself am getting flyers through my door every day from places saying that free school places are available....how can people be advertising when it seems there are still a load of issues and hurdles to overcome?? Thanks

    Hi,
What type of AMI qualification do you have? It may be considered a level 7 or 8 and be entitled to a higher payment from the government instead of 64.50, I think its 75 euro approx. You should send in a photocopy of your diploma to the office of the minister for children to see what level you are on the national framework for qualifications.
