Renault 25 in Longford/Westmeath area

The R25 is a very rare sight now but there is one in the Longford/Westmeath area, a light blue TXI , 92-D-608. I saw it today and have been seeing it on and off for a few years. The strange thing is, I am pretty sure that the car was a bronze colour a while back and before that was the blue colour that that is now. Seems bizarre that somebody would respray it bronze then respray it back to its original colour.

The other possibility is that there are 2 R25s with similar registrations in the same area that I am mixing up. Does anyone know anything about this?

LOL, I was sure the bronze 25 was also 92-d-608, would have put money on it. Thanks for the explanation. Any pics of your own car?

Tax expiry date July 2004, it had a good innings for a 1981 car! It would have been one of very few 18s left on the road in 04. Would be cool if it were restored.

Great to see such cars surviving nowadays!

I worked for a Renault specialist from 89-96 and recall working on R25's like yours.

Sorry, I should have said....I did bodywork repairs for them so my mechanical knowledge is limited re Renaults. But if I can answer any questions I will gladly help.
Best of luck with the cars btw! And well done for saving them!
