Shimano WH-R550 back wheel - broken spoke

    hiya,

    i have a cannondale r700 with a Shimano WH-R550 wheelset.

    bike details:http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/05/cusa/model-5RR7D.html
    wheelset details:http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/EV/actionsports/WH/EV-WH-R550-R-2337A_v1_m56577569830608667.pdf

the back wheel has become slightly warped and today i discovered that one of the spokes was broken close to the nipple.

given what i've read here i'd like to get a mechanic to replace the spoke and true the wheel.

however, from what i've read the spokes themselves arent very easy to source and would need to be ordered in.

    * how would you guys go about getting the spoke replaced and the wheel trued?

    * should i try to source the spoke myself or leave this to a shop?

    * you seem to have to order the nipple separately? would i need to order one aswell? or would a mechanic be able to remove the spoke fragment from the current nipple?

    * if the shop was going to try to source a spoke, would it take a long time and/or be more expensive?

i usually cycle every second day for an hour or so and i'm kinda lost now without a bike!

    thanks for your help,

    colm
