hi everyone,

i have 2 eircom netopia modems, one desktop that i use mostly for downloading and burning and a laptop that i use for browsing.
i connected one modem on one room to run the laptop and the other modem is connected to a different eircom socket on another room.
if i turn one modem on the other goes off, and vice versa. is it possible to have the 2 modems on at the same time?

Use the wireless funtionality of the router if the router and laptop support wireless or use 'ethernet over power' plugs.
