I am thinking of getting a wireless system.

Are they any hassle?? Do they cause any signal loss?? Last thing I want is taxi radio call coming thru my cab :eek: Any recommendations/ones to avoid.

    Pros and cons??

Try the line 6 relay g30 you wont have any problems

I've heard of problems with the Line 6 and it won't work worldwide.

Check out stageClix - http://www.stageclix.com. Supposed to be far better, it looks sturdier too and less buttons and lights all over it. Just plug and play! :)

For cheap wireless fun try one of these...

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/Wireless-Clip-on-Microphone-Mic-Cordless-Lapel-Tie-Set_W0QQitemZ300359695211QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Music_Instruments_Microphones_MJ?hash=item45eed53b6b

I bought one of these is see would it work on a guitar and it works perfectly!!

Just buy a lead with a 6.3 guitar jack on one end and a small headphone jack on the other (3.5mm) and away you go

Dont know if it would hold up to serious giging but it does work.

Search Ebay for "wireless mic" set the cost limit from 0 to 10 euro to find plenty of listings.

A cheap wireless will sound and work like a cheap wireless.

As I said this unit may not hold up to serious giging but for the price it produces a strong and very clear signal.

Dont knock it till you tried it Dord!

I use a Samson Airline for bass (APB1)
They are great systems. no packs to tape onto straps, just a wireless bug transmitter and pedal sized reciever to put on top of your amp. it has two wee rabbit-ear aerials that fold down as well.
Only down side to it is if you dont get the pwer supply (samson AC250) with it, cause they do tend to devour 9v batteries.
Managed to get the samson psu for it though and it is the dogs bol****s!
Try ebay for a fairly priced one. They really do stand out from the rest and are amzingly clear-well the bass version is anyway.
Havent experienced any loss in tone, volume or clarity.
The guitar versions have bug transmitters shaped for Fender Strat-type inputs and right angle ones for Gibson guitars (and Fender basses) which have top -mounted inputs.
Have tried Nady, Seinnhesier and AKGs and none really hold a candle to the Samson.
Though I suspect, the more you spend, the better quality you get-as with most instruments and accessories.
    hope that helps,

I went and researched as much as i could before i got mine its basically the repackaged(for Europe/Asia) x2 which was made by another company before line 6 took over the x2 is still sold in America and line 6 sell the g30 in Europe all the same components just a different casing so there should be no problems with frequency seeing as its in the free band plus he unit runs 9v off the pedal board,
I have owned 1 other system and used 2 others all around the same money the g30 had better frequency response and better sensitivity
