So, my friends and I have been going for a long weekend skiing at the end of November for the last few years. We head to Tignes in France and stay in a hostel, the hostel organises breakfast, dinner, ski passes and ski rental. Tignes is a glacier resort, so the top is definitely open when we get there, for the last two years, the snow has been so good that most of the resort is open, all nicely groomed and empty.

Ryanair, cheap car rental, hostel and 3-4 people going and it works out quit cheaply for some fantastic piste with small ques.

This year, we worked out that it's cheaper to get a car ferry to the UK and then eurotunnel, followed by a drive to the resort, 24 hours of travel, share the driving between 4 of us and a bit of craic on the road trip, with 3 full days of skiing and meals included for about €300.

Just letting you all know, because if you're like me, you can't wait to get on the piste again! Word of warning though, the bars and restaurants are still pretty much closed, so you'd have to make your own nightlife.

Start in upstairs bedroom put on Boots Collect skis outside door, stand at top of hte stairs clip into skis, Throuw yourself down the stairs.:D

There is an Atomic Boot camp on in Tignes in Novemberand it is approx €120 for 3 days bed breakfast and dinner with lift pass and all you have to do is get there.

Couple of other cheap options are staying in a bomb shelter in Switzerland, heading to the Spanish Pyraness or Montenegro
