I don't think all men want to travel around with Ewan McGregor tbh. Whatever you're into though mate.

That's the one with Ewan McGregor?
If so, yeah; i'm sure you'd get plenty of lads who'd be willing to make a Tv show along those lines.
Charlie Boorman is the son of esteemed film director John Boorman; his dad used to reside here and think Charlie was born in Ireland, though not sure.
John Boorman, by the way, directed Deliverance; so you'd think his son would be wary of embarking on adventures off the beaten track.
Not so, obviously; probably a classic case of rebellion.
Then again, if Burt Reynolds and the lads had the weight of the BBC behind them they probably would have been OK.

Wouldn't mind travelling the world, but in a car not on a bike.

I always think of biker as people who haven't realised cars have been invented:confused:

If I ever got the opportunity to do what those ungrateful bastards did I would wake up every morning with a smile on my face.
BTW some mod of AH should probably move this to the appropriate forum or some crap.

Would love to do something like that alright. Without the camera crew and backup jeeps though. Id love to do it like me man on the R1 done when he went around the world, except on me gsxr :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,014 ✭✭✭high horse

Those bike were seriously impressive though. When the stupid kid in a civic crashes into the back of Ewan McGregor's bike, I couldn't believe the car came off worst! I gottaa get me one of those bikes!

I enjoyed the long way round and yes its something i would love to do.

but the long way down was a different matter...it started out great but at the very end ewan brought his wife along and charlie got left alone to go his own way.

very disappionting end to a great show. made ewan look like he could not do anything without the wife to hold his hand.

poor charlie looked really fed up.
