Configure Netopia 2247 Router as Bridge

    Hi,

    I'm attempting to configure my Netopia router as a wireless bridge to use with my Slingbox but I cannot get it to work. (I've tested the Slingbox with a wired connection so definitely a bridge problem)

    So far what I've done is as follows:
    1. Selected the bridge mode option in the config page
    2. Changed the IP address of the bridge to be different from main router
    3. Turned off security
    Tested it --> Didn't work
    4. Changed the option from "PPP over Ethernet" to "RFC-1483 Bridged Ethernet"
    5. Turned off uPNP and Firewall
    Tested it --> Still didn't work.

    I'm out of ideas now...what am I doing wrong here?

    Also, is there a handy way to test that the bridge is working without having to set it up with my Slingbox each time?

    Thanks.

    Could someone please advise me if I'm at least on the right track?

    Is it possible to simply turn the router into a bridge and use that bridge to connect my Slingbox to my wireless router?

    Thanks.
