I returned my Polar S720i to Polar for servicing and received the estimate today, €158. This includes changing the battery, €19.38, front case, €39.15, PCBA, €92.00. I guess that leaves me with my old strap and back.

The question is, should I pay or is there something new that is comparable/better for the money. I have speed and cadence sensors, and I upload through Polars IR dongle.

is what? and why did it go in the first place? was it bajanjaxed or

The big red button was cracked, the display regularly disappeared esp in the wet. The report says the battery is weak, the case leaks although they couldn't find where, and moisture damage to the PCB.

    eBay...get teh whole shebang!

Bought both my S710 and my brother's S720i on eBay.

The S710 on eBay.co.uk kit came with HR strap/sensor, Cadence and Speed Sensors, CD, magnets, PC IR interface etc. £90 delivered (and it had been recently serviced :) )

The S720i on eBay.de, kit as above but no Cadence Sensor but with original packaging and bag. €90 delivered :) (Battery recently changed)

Both are working fine still (though, as you know....I recently changed HR Sensor...thank you again :) )

Thanks for giving me an idea of the price they will go for on ebay. I had thought of that route. I guess it's a choice between paying for what will essentially be a new monitor, or risking ebay. I will watch the bidding for a few days before deciding.
