My birthday is coming up soon.

The missus is going to buy me a present (say under €200).

What should i get (bike related obviously).

Looking for something that I would use, but not sure.

I have her Cr Card here, and have been told to go ahead and order. But I have got stagefright - just dont know what to get.

Those Rapha gloves! You know you want to, they are beautiful and will last!

New shoes? Sunglasses? Lots of goodies on Always Riding. Or the new Le Col stuff, although the initial designs looked more promising than what I've seen on the site.

    Cheap tandem?

OK, so we're not going to persuade you to blow her card out on Boras.

Turbo is a good suggestion if you don't have one. Have you got decent winter gloves?

PM flickerx, he'll make one up for you at that price.

Have very good winter gloves. Thanks.

    I wont get a turbo.

But keep suggestions coming, as I am all out of ideas.

There are lots of crap that I would buy with my own purse, but as this is a pressie, I want it to be both nice and useful.

They are nice, very very nice. They match the colour of the bike to boot.

Agree. I would buy it but for the price. It is a rip off and more so when one considers the weakness in GBP.

The Rapha stuff I have gotten I tend to get when I have discounts plus bundles. Prices are just bizarre.

    Ultegra SL chainset from Cyclesuperstore=E207

Use it for a couple of months then I'll offer you a decent price for it after Christmas!

Ps You dont need a new workstand, a clothesline in a shed will do the trick! Works for me.

I didn't say that. I said the black ones leach dye like crazy when they get wet. I imagine this is less of a problem with the white ones, or if you're a fair weather cyclist which I dream of some day being. Apart from that, I think they're great.

But to answer your original question.

I just got a pair of Assos Winter.ll Bibtights from Slane Cycles.

Could also get a Park Tool workstand or a nice Park Tool tool set.

    Pair or Oakley Radars/jawbones.

    Nice pair of Sidi shoes.

€200 would be a big chunk of the cost to head to spain for a winter cycle camp!

I have a Park workstand. It's the cheapest one, but still a lot of money for some painted scaffolding and a clamp.

Not really special enough for a b'day present IMO.
