Never really was before i seen this

Thank god i dont live in asia!

But our insects are kittens compared to southern nations, yet ''some'' people still jump when they see a daddy longlegs?

I think they lose that appeal once they become gigantic. The most irritating thing about the small little ****heads is that if you leave them alone, they make it their business to irritate you as much as possible by covertly trying to get into your nostrils.

Giant things aren't known for being stealthy.

I've never understood and will never understand why people get so freaked out about insects/rodents/whatever.

For god's sake, you're at LEAST a thousand times the size of the thing. I could MAYBE understand a fear of bees if you're desperately allergic but even then it's not going to sting you unless you piss it off (waving your hands around and screaming probably isn't going to make it happy, by the way).

Grow up, tbh. There's no need for that kind of carry-on when it comes to spiders or mice. They're not going to bloody well hurt you so get over it.

The spider/insect/snake thing is a primal irrational fear we as humans developed. The phobias people have today are kickback to those real healthy fears our ancestors had that helped survival
