Sorry if its been asked before- couldnt find it anywhere!

I'm hoping to do a post grad in trinity- i'm currently in maynooth- but I'd like to just know a bit about the college before i decide!

Just things like if they're helpful when it comes to career guidance/tutors etc.? if you dont live near the college is there enough quiet areas with wifi where you can study and stuff? just general 'is it a good college' questions!

    thanks!

All the librarys have wifi and some areas have plugs, obviously theres study space/seatng in them so thats no problem.....

Cant really talk about careers yet, havnt ventured int that area of thought!

If you're not able to use the library (e.g. most of the weekend) or you might ever need to do project work/group study with other people, there's basically nowhere to go. There are some "study rooms" in trinity's libraries but of course that's when the library is open.

um theres a 24/7 area for postgrads I believe.Computers, sockets, books etc

I forgot about the '37 reading room. My bad.

With the exception of exam times, you'll always find a space in the Library. As a postgrad, you also get access to the 1937 reading room (24/7) and the GSU Common Room (for a once-off charge). There are other 24/7 computer rooms (Ussher, Laser Huts), but these may not be quiet enough to do study (learn how to study when listening to earphones, you'll be fine)

    Depends on your department too.
You may have a key to your building whereby you can go in at the weekend/evenings and just study in a classroom.

yeah this much is true, and is very handy! Come and go as you please without all the noise of bigger libraries and postgrad study rooms
