    1: ABS
    2: Disc or Drum Braking
3: Front or rear wheel drive

I need to buy an expensive car part and I want to be absolutely certain I get the right thing.

It's for a 02 citroen saxo furio. (standard not VTR or anything)
    1.1 engine
    4 stud tryes

I'm pretty sure it has ABS, Disc braking and front wheel drive but I don't actually know for certain.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Guessing here but disc front brakes, drum rear brakes, front wheel drive and I would imagine ABS.

Check similar cars fo sale on line and look at spec.tech info

    1. ABS comes standard on most cars these days, i did a quick search and so far all the ones i could find on yours have ABS, when you start the car the abs light should come on and go off.
    2. Disks in the Front and Drums on the Back
    3. Front Wheel Drive!

As a rule most cars are front wheel drives bar sport models (usually japanese) BMW's and Mercs.
Also most cars have drums on the back if they are 1.6 or under in engine size.

    Defo front wheel drive
All cars by law must have front disc brakes. Optional for rear. AFAIK, only the Petrol 1.6+ Saxo models had rear discs, all others had drums.

If you turn on your ignition lights before you start the engine there should be a symbol in a triange with the word ABS or something like this: abs_light.jpg

ABS was only made mandatory on cars from 2004 onwards. I'd doubt a 2002 1.1 Saxo would have ABS or rear discs to be honest. A Saxo would definately be front wheel drive too.

    Best test for ABS:

Find an empty big car park when its very wet. Drive at 30-40mph and hit the brakes hard. If you feel a shudder (about 5-10 times/second) you have ABS. If not you will feel nothing.

ABS does not work at speeds less than ~10mph

My brother had a '00 Saxo Furio. I'm 110% sure his didn't have ABS.

And its front wheel drive, with disks to front, drums to rear!
