So I applied too BTEA and got a letter saying I was approved, I got it the same day I was meant to sign on, so I didnt sign on since I didnt want to make a double claim. So now a week later no money and Im not sure whats going on with them. What day does BTEA normally get paid on.

    Any Ideas ?

Usually with the initial letter accepting you for BTEA there is a form which the college you attend has to sign and you return that to the Social W office. After that it can take up anything up to 5 or 6 weeks for the money to commence being paid into your bank account depending on backlog. In the meantime, you don't need to sign on but you should go and pick up your money at the post office every week. If you don't pick it up, it will eventually show up in your bank account when you get the BTEA through the bank and also your 500 Euro will be in there also.

I gave them the letter which stated my dates when I handed the letter in. They attached it to the app but you are correct the letter they send me had the text requesting the letter, Do I need to give them another letter ?

As long as you have given the Social Welfare back the printed form they sent and which you got stamped by the college and on which the college states that you have already started and gives the starting date - you should be okay and the BTEA will show up in your bank account before too long, hopefully!

The BTEA people would have included a date your payments were due to start on the approval letter.

you should contact them to see if your bank details are accurate.
