I've recently switched from electric to gas hob. On the lowest setting the heat can sometimes be too much or too concentrated for simmering.
Where can I pick up a heat diffuser?
    Are there different types?
    recommendations?

    thanks
    -Coley.

I have been using Truka brand diffusers for a few years now, they are called Truka Kochplatte.
The first one I got is still in service but somewhat rusted now from boilovers, I am not sure how long they last before they rust from normal useage but they still work the same.
The Cookware shop in Bantry is where I got mine, not sure where in Dublin you can get one but they do mailorder if you are having trouble sourcing them.
