Is it possible at this stage of first year to, lets say, transfer to a course in DCU and if so how would i go about it?

If it's a similar course then it's possible. I would imagine you have to talk to your course coordinator and the head of the school as well as the same people in DCU's course.

Though I also imagine you're not entitled to a refund of your fee's either.

On the fee stuff, as far as i remember if you withdraw before the 1st of november you can get a refund on your fees (if you're full time). If you withdraw after the 1st you only get 50% refund.

have you been accepted in DCU? I'm sure if you explain to admissions they'll help you sort it out.

Just so you know, the registration fee can be got back in full
if you pull out on or before the 31st October.
