Going by some of the threads here I can see that I'm way out of my league here but nevertheless:

I'm looking to buy a watch - tan leather strap, large square face, sort of classic looking.

Would anyone here be able to give me a bit of advice re: what brands are worth checking out and where in Dublin/online I could look?

    Thanks in advance

Sorry:o can't remember the name of the shop, but there's a watch shop in the dundrum shopping centre, second floor if I recall rightly, that has a big selection of watches in that price range. Some I was very impressed with the look of.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Rotary if you want a classic-type watch
Diesel if you want leather strap watch but a bit more contemporary

you might want to consider this

    It comes also in black.
Don't waste your 200 in a cheap Diesel watch, they are not worth the money.
