Altezza with power steering pump problems.

    Hi All

    A girl at work was telling me her power steering is gone on her Altezza.

    Apparently it’s the pump thats the problem.

    Could anyone advise if they can be reconditioned?

    Do they share the same type of pump as other Toyota's so maybe it could be got second hand.?

    Has anyone advise on her best course of action

    Not too sure on the Altezza but I know the Yaris, Corolla and Avensis all have electric power steering so no pump.

    There is a guy on donedeal regularly advertising used power steering pumps for IS200 / Altezza with Beams engine. I think price was 200 euro. I forget the details but a search should find it quickly.

    I'm guessing this is a common problem on these ?
