Account Management & PS3

    Hi guys,

apologies for the newbie question. Just got the PS3 (first playstation i've had) and am loving it.

However, i've got a user account setup (PSN) - and the missus also wants to play stuff. I'm guessing the easiest way to handle this is to setup another account on the web - then sign in with that on the console? Is there any way to do fast switching or to have two accounts active at the same time?

One last question - if i've got a PSN account & something like an EA sports account - and I want to go around to a friends place to play tiger woods or similar - is it possible to copy the profile to the controller and take that around, or similar?

Again apologies for the complete newbie questions.

On the cross media bar (xmb) go to the far left and select "create new user", to set up your GF's profile, she will have access to all the stuff on the PS3 already like the games or music etc... but she will have her own savegames.

Re tiger woods, you could attach a usb key and go to the "save data utility" icon and try copy it to the usb key and bring it with you. Some games wont allow you to do this.

apologies for hijacking a thread but this is another newbie question. Is there anyway I can find out exactly just how long I have been playing each game? I haven't downloaded to firmware 3.01 yet.

    Thanks for anyhelp.

Only really if games themselves have statistics menu's. There's no Time Playing Display by Sony.

Most games allow you to check playtime. Highlight the save file for the game in the xmb, wait a moment and you should see the game statistics.

Awesome - thanks for response. One last question - is it then possible to use two profiles simultaneously? Eg 2 player LBP or similar? Or would one user always be a 'guest' (for want of better term)?
