Question on Backing Tracks.

Hi Im a drummer and I want to start using backing tracks with my band. Can anyone tell me where (website or whatever) I can get backing tracks complete with click and eg. keyboards, strings etc.for a particular song.

What is the best device to play them through??

How do you make the backing track go through the front of house speakers without sending the click track with it???

I've played using them loads but never actually knew how it was done. Would really appreciate some feedback on this one, I actually feel a bit stupid putting this up but how and ever!!!

    Cheers.

you're probably best off doing up your own backing tracks so that you can keep the levels consistent and use a click that you're comfortable playing to (different drummers like different sounds, patterns etc)

there's different ways to route the click, the simplest is prob to split the signal out of an ipod or whatever with the click side going to a headphone amp and the track side DI to the desk.

    Hi mullenjnr,

I'd agree with K0K0 that you'd be better off trying to make your own.
However heres a link to Song Galaxy.
    Some good,some Sh1t..
One good thing in their favour is that you can download a multitrack app which allows you to mute any of the tracks or control their levels,,which is nice!!
May get you out of a hole for now, hope it helps...Iomega
