Does anyone know where I can get iphone earphones that aren't too expensive?

My third pair have broken and I only managed to get one replacement out of apple.

I tried amazon but kept getting the warning that shipping to my location wasn't possible

I got a decent set on eBay, good for noise reduction, for about 8 or 9 euro inc p&p.

I got a terrible set on eBay for about the same price, so caveat emptor.
Maybe Reginald P. DuM could post his eBay seller?

tbh I'd stay away from anyone online who wasn't an official supplier site.

What have you been doing with your headphones, OP?
I've had a set with the 3G and the 3GS and they're both still perfect.

Went back to look for the seller, they were actually cheaper than I remembered. I use them while running sometimes too and they stay in, unlike the originals, so no complaints at the price. Have a gander.. They are hardly from the same seller that you purchased from Dades?

If you stop buying cheap earphones then maybe they wouldn't break so much

From what the OP said, It sounds like two out of the three sets were genuine Apple products, so I agree with you.

Don't think so. Can't find mine in my history, I'm afraid OP.

    Hey,

Thanks for the responses. All headsets that broke (in one way or another) were official apple headsets. I think the first two had broken wires in the cables (so you would get intermittant sound in one ear). My current apple headset has a new problem - they are earbuds (I dont like the newest type of ones with the rubber cones that go right into your ear) and the rubber frame around the earbud has deteriorated and fallen off - they just crumble and fall off meaning the hard plastic edge is in your ear and it hurts.

Its like the glue that holds them on isnt good enough and the rubber is too weak also.

I bought apple headsets because for the last while they are the only ones that supported the iphone remote/mic but if there are any good makers that dont cost too much and support the mic please let me know (the apple earbuds cost like 35 euro so theyre not that cheap).

Oh and to answer the question about how well I treat them - I have loads of expensive gadgetry that I am reasonably careful with. Generally the earphones just sit in my coat pocket (which hangs on my chair about 22 hours of the day) or on my desk (which is a smooth polished surface with minimal clutter). I think they've had it easy to be honest and they're just made from material that decays.

Komplett.ie, gadgetireland.com and dabs.ie probably have a good choice that you can look at

The ones I mentiones in my previous post have the inline mic and an inline pause/play button- this only works with the 3gs though.

35 euro isn't cheap when you're talking about headphones. The in-ear pair I'm current using set me back 175 euro.
If you're looking for ones compatible with an iphone your best bet would be http://www.trustedreviews.com/mp3/review/2008/08/17/Sennheiser-MM-50-iP-Headset-For-iPhone/p1

Yeah but they're the "plug" in-ear ones which I find uncomfortable. Regular earbuds fit me fine though!

Slim pickings Im afraid - thanks though.

I think the big problem with finding a non-apple pair is that I don't like those silicone rubber "plug-directly into your ear canal" earphones. The regular earphone is what I'm looking for.

Looks like Ill just have to buy another apple pair!
