    alright people lookin for advice on tractors,hoping to change whats there at the moment and going in the mf 6200 series direction,i worked for a lad on a 6290 and very happy with it but thinking i'd get away with less power maybe a 6270/80 or so, do they have the same shuttle system etc as the 6290, all info welcome plus if you know where there's one worth the money i'm all ears,missed out on a '01 6290 that sold for €16,000 last wk and disgusted over it!!!:eek:

    Hey, a local contractor has 3x6480's a 6485 a 6490 and a 4255 but says the best tractor he owns is his 6280. 120 hp in a compact frame and can pull well compaired to its dyna 6 stable mates. Dynashift box one of the most reliable on the market. I know he'd strongly recomend one!

    We went to have a look at a 6290 a while back and the dynashift was faulty. As far as I remember(I may be wrong) the transmission has an A-B-C on the shuttle lever. It'd go into A, then when you moved the lever forward to B nothing would happen, and when moved to C the tractor would jump forward.:eek: Just a bad example of the transmission I guess.
    But yeah a well minded 62series is a grand tractor by all means.
