Is it OTT of a buyer to ask for a photo of the GF to reassure him that she owns car?

Situation is this.

We are providing the legal doc (log book) he has inspected and checked off chassis number / number plate off the car.

Agreed - She has her driving license on the day - corresponds to the address of the log book
He has done a reg / chassis check to conf no funds owed.
Its the closing phases now and the deal is being done next week.
I offered to type up a receipt.

I mentioned that she will miss the motor. He said "sure she can have a photo beside it"

I understand that he would like her DNA as well, but a photo is a bit ott?
It could be used to track her down and given to Judge Judy, but its 100% legit.

We have said we would go to the cop shop and get them to check over the docs if he is in any doubt from the get go.

Anywho, what do you all think?

Hmmmm, to me it just sounds like he was saying that she could have a picture taken next to the car as a reminder for her

Are you getting a good price for the car?
I'm trying to sell my car at the moment, if some buyer was going to pay close to asking i'd give him a pic of the missus no bother, hell if he was paying asking price i'd GIVE him the missus.

Fair enough, I was getting far too possessive there. He can drive away with her so and take all the photos he wants.

We cant answer your question OP until you give us some pics of the GF. ONly then can we determine if the price you are getting is good enough.

Hmmmm like has already been said, all the buyer means is that if your GF will miss the car she can have someone take a picture of your GF beside/with/on/in the car and GIVE the picture to your GF as a keep-sake or reminder.

Nothing wrong with that! And its not OTT as loadsa people get attached to their cars and take pics as keep-sakes when they sell em on.
