CCTV - Question on Honeywell day/night domes

I have recently installed a few day/night domes in a shop, the place is quite dark inside, even with lighting and the images are in B&W and very grainy. Is it possible to keep the cameras in day mode (colour) constantly? Or would fiddling with DIP switches and the likes of BLC and AGC likely improve it.

    Cheers lads

If you try and keep the camera in day/ colour mode thet you will see zero when it is dark. B/W is best in low loght conditions.

The AGC, automatic Gain Control, will help by amplifying the the amount of light in the picture but as a result can often seem grainy.
The BLC, back light compensation, will not do much to enhance the picture. Its mainly used when a camera is pointing towards a door or window. On some pictures the person is blacked out and there is a massive galre behind them. BLC will remove the glare and help you identify the person
