    Hi All,

I am constructing a two story block cavity house. (cavity 160mm)
My roofer is in the middle of the timber work for the roof at the moment.
The roof is 9x2" joists with with 6x2" rafters and purlins.
I employed a energy consultant to spec the insulation for the house before I started. He wants 400mm of fiberglass layed between and above the joists. I want to put down a plywood floor for storage so dont want to have so much fiberglass.

My question is could I fill the space between the joists with fiberglass then put down a ridgid board insulation 200mm thick and then place the plywood on top to give me a floor for storage.

    Any help would be apreciated.

    Regards,

    Fuchia
