Christmas

We are having a non drinking guest for Christmas dinner and while I am used to being out with him and him not drinking, I am not sure what to serve him in my house. I wanted to have mulled wine for people to heat them up after their drive down to me, and then a choice of wine with dinner, would a non alcoholic mulled wine and maybe a non alcoholic sparkling wine for with dinner be too much and make someone feel uncomfortable? I don't eat meat and I know that when a meat eater goes out of their way to accommodate me, I can feel a bit uncomfortable. I want to avoid doing the same.

    Thanks

EDIT: apologies for the early christmas thread btw.

I'm a non drinker, and my family always has a bottle of sparkling grape juice or cider for me at Christmas. I love it. It's a small gesture that respects my life style. So I think that a non alcoholic mulled wine or a non alcoholic sparkling wine would go over well. You can put it with the other wines as an option for everyone, not just your non drinker guest, so that they don't feel uncomfortable.

Well, what does he normally drink when hes out with you? Does he have any interest in nonalcohlic beers and wines or does he stick to juice and minerals? Non alcoholic wine may not be the tastiest but then it depends on whether there into that kind of thing! Sparkling grape juice sounds like a good idea.
