hey gang hope yer all well

im currently applying for work and have uploaded my cv and cover letter to monster.co.uk.

Each typ ei try to apply for a job throuhg monster, the formatting of my cover gets all messed up.

I have tried this on mac and xp, and the problem still persists.

My cover letter looks fine when you go to edit it under = profile/cv/cover letter, but when you click on 'apply', the formating gets really messed up, sendint dates, and headings all over the place.

Any ideas what this might be, or how to resolve this issue?

    thanks veyr much

    ed

Are you talking about Word document or what? The best way is to keep your cv in their own format, i.e., enter all details in the respective fields one by one. I know it's annoying but all the information is stored and indexed properly. And formatted according to their rules whatever they are. If you want to upload your Word cv, they will try to parse it which, of course, will result in some screwed up layouts. Don't think there's a cure as Word formatting is dependent on so many factors. If you don't like messing with formats, just use plain text. It might not be as pretty as Word on your PC but won't be as ugly when uploaded and parsed.
