Change my sig

    I want a new signature.

I have become sick of people pointing out my spelling/grammer mistakes, I do try my best to not make them but I'm dyslexic so it's a difficult task.
I would also be tempted to point out to the people who do this that I am most likely more intelligent than them (93rd percentile rank, not the best but better than alot)

I can think of a witty enough thing to say, so can the people of AH think of a good enough signature that may just stop people pointing out my mistakes.

I probably have made mistakes in this post, I wonder who will point them out to me first, or will anyone.

Damn and what annoys me most about that is I spelt it the american way, I hate it when that happens.

How about "I'm not intelligent enough to use spell-check"?

There's the American way. Then there's the correct way.

Well you don't want people commenting on something that annoys them, if you apologise before they point it out they mightn't bother.

If you're that clever why do you need other people to think of a sig for you?

Not working for some reason and I try not to use it because I won't figure out how to spell words then (it works on gmail so if it's important I copy and past it into there)

    Hold on a second;

You wont use spellcheck because you won't figure out how to spell words yourself, and you don't want people correcting you when you misspell something. How will you ever know you've spelled something wrong?

People who associate the ability to spell words correctly with intelligence are idiots. Having an understanding of the rules of a language can be associated with intelligence. It's the same as people thinking that think people who are able to do well in exams by regurgitating piles of information in an exam with out any understanding of it are really smart.

    My mistake.

Orla you can change your Sig here.

    Thread reopened.

Please lets not have an "I'm better than you" trolling thread.

Open a word doc and type all replies/posts there first. You will see your mistakes and you can learn from that? You’re really not doing your “intelligent” statement any favours with that reply tbh.

There is no excuse for poor spelling. Is it really that difficult to check the correct spelling of a word? Poor spelling is lazy.

Surely the use of words and numbers are a primary indication of intelligence.

Dyslexia has been mentioned and I dont really know much about it. So that's something I cant comment on.

Orla, awful place to look for genuine advice on this tbh. You can be sure of one thing though, none of them would say it to your face.

Your answer might be in one of your replies here. You said something to the tune of "I'm not going to apologise for having dyslexia'. You could use it as it is, or shorten it down and by deliberately adding some mistakes to get the point across. You don't want to know how I'd put it :)

    Your Sig should be this

    http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/

Or any other browser with built in spell checking.

    I would recommend the following:

"Hey, I'm in the 39th percentile you know"

TBH I don't really see any reason why she should go to the extra added bother of typing it in a word processor and then copying it over. She's really not doing anyone any harm by having imperfect spelling so I don't see any reason for that.

It saves her getting shít from those who will point the mistakes out.

We are done here. For those of you who find it humorous to poke fun at posters who have dyslexia please note that this is not the place to do so. Any time I see it in the future I will ban the crap out of you.
