I havent really seen any way other than the parental control thing but i was wondering can it be locked like a PC. I was thinking if my house got broken into (again) and they took the PS3 i would like to at least make it unusable aswell as locking the credit card details in the store.

I think you can set it to ask for the password everytime it logs on to the PSN. I guess that would do it.

Do not tick the "remember password" box and disable auto sign-in.

Even if you had your PS3 was stolen and you had auto PSN sign-in with password saved, it would still be useless as they would need to enter your PSN password to check anything to do with your account management.
