    when I was a kid and growning up I never believed the hype about it but got it in Hmv cheap there and have to say its really a cool film.

    its like watching aliens film cause most of the cast from aliens are in it but its a vampire movie.

    Kathryn Bigelow Rocks. I really hope Hurt Locker is good that girl need to direct films again shes the best why hasnt she made films in ages shes pretty cool director.

    watching it at the mo. just realised its been cut god no can't believe that damn the bbc

    I'm a massive Kathryn Bigelow fan but Near Dark doesn't do anything for me unfortunately.

    Strange Days on the other hand..

    Near Dark great movie, Bigalow took half the cast of Aliens (Bill Paxton, Lance Henricksen & Jenette Goldstein) and Jack Deth (Tim Thomerson) from Trancers and you've got the makings of a cult classic :)

    most of the cast and 2 scenes from terminator 2 were in the film. the guy he has a fight with was the guy and arnie took his boots and jacket off. turns out james cameron was married to here during it.

    amazin film but strange days is a great movie love it. hope shes make to form.

    forget twilight

    watch true blood and near dark hard core stuff

    Just saw this film for the first time and I loved it. The only thing I thought was a bit lame was
    C'mon, transfusions reversing fully the effects of Vampirism?

    Really enjoyed Near Dark,
    Got it on the special edition DVD when it was first released on dvd.
    Its a cult classic, pity lost boys pretty much made it disappear for years. Its being awhile since i've watched it.
    Must try sticking it on soon.

    Hated the idea they were even talking of a remake, any idea if that came about?

    was the special edition uncut. cause I saw two scenes in it were the waitress got her neck slit.

    it is truly a amazing movie very cool film but I didnt like that two scenes from terminator 2 were in it.
