taxing a UKimported Car

    Quick question on this.

    Dad imported car from North and VRT has been paid

    Q is to get it taxed do i need to submit a form to shannon or do i just go to his local tax office and get it registered there??

    you can tax it using the (IIRC) the reg & last 6 digits of the chassis number - You can do this 24 hours after vrt has been paid,

    Or else it can be done over the counter if you have the documentation (VRT reciept)

    Take the sheet you got from the VRO and go to your local tax office. You'll be able to buy tax there and they'll get Shannon to issue you with the logbook.
